Aukati KaiPaipa

Aukati KaiPaipa is a kanohi ki te kanohi service that is delivered locally within most communities.

This programme offers Māori and their whānau the opportunity to address their smoking addiction through a range of services including free nicotine patches or gum, motivational counselling and ongoing support.

The goal of Aukati KaiPaipa is to reduce smoking among Māori and increase the number of positive changes in smoking behaviour, such as maintaining smokefree environments, particularly for tamariki.

 

Quitline

The Quit Group runs quit smoking programmes in New Zealand, including the national free telephone support Quitline. The Quitline provides help and support to people wanting to quit smoking. The Quitline offers free telephone support, resources and low cost nicotine patches, gum and lozenges to New Zealanders.

This website is run by the Cancer Society of New Zealand and provides information about quitting including regional contacts for free and low cost quit smoking services, resources to help you quit smoking, and budgeting advice.

 

Txt2Quit

Ready to quit smoking? Through Txt2Quit you can get quitting tips and support sent straight to your mobile. Through Txt2Quit you will receive free txts to support you while you are quitting. Txt2Quit runs for 26 weeks and is ideally suited for 16-24 year-olds, but anyone can use it.
